Overview & Reviews
The Monte Carlo receives only minor changes for the 2003 model year. The base LS model has been upgraded with standard four-wheel disc brakes, traction control and remote keyless entry. Both the LS and SS models sport newly styled wheels, four new exterior colors and the option of adding XM Satellite Radio.
- Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong V6 in SS models.
- Mediocre performance, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

Monte Carlo Review - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Yvonne Hawk - February 24 - 10:00 amSince purchasing the Monte Carlo, I have enjoyed its smooth ride and high performance. It has power and I love the vehicle handles. I feel in control of the vehicle and the road while I am driving. This model provides more than adequate room inside and trunk space. I especially, like the sleek, dynamic lines of the model. Very impressive design. Hope is provides years of service.

I love my Jeff Gordon Monte - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By jrrotten - November 19 - 4:53 amThis car was purchased as an investment and is driven less than 2000 mi annually now. It averages 26 mph and gets 32 mpg on the freeways. I purchased it new, and it is covered in the garage. I think GM and Hendrix motor sport did a great job of designing the package. It holds the road like it was glued to it. I took the car on 2 road trips, one to Arizona and one to Colorado. Wonderful auto, it now has 24,240 miles on it.

monte carlo - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By valerie216 - June 7 - 10:00 amConsidering the cost of this car, it has broke 3 times and qualified for the Ohio Lemon Law. This car was reliable until about 9k miles and that is where the problems began for 3 weeks in a row. i am in the process of a buyback, so think twice before spending a lot of money on a brand new car and thinking it will be reliable.

2003 Monte Carlo, bad power steering - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Rozie - January 22 - 3:06 pmI have had this car serviced 8 times in 17 months for problems with the power steering pump. Eventually, the entire power steering rack was replaced, but the problem is still not resolved. I love the look and feel of the car, but the mechanics on it are horrible. I am a loyal GM customer, but the difficulties that I have had with the servicing of this vehicle are pushing me towards foreign cars with much better manufacturers warranties.

Monte Carlo Pace Car - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Tazmanian_She-Devil - November 17 - 2:00 amI love my Monte Carlo Pace Car!! When I first saw it on the lot, I knew I had to have it, needless to say the next day I went back to the dealership and bought it. The car is so much fun to drive, so comfortable, so well designed, and catches so much attention. I originally had been looking at Superior Blue Monte Carlos, but once I saw this one there was no doubt that this was the car for me, and I was right! The graphics and ground effects on this car make it one of a kind! I would have to say that this is the most wonderful car ever, but I guess maybe I am partial!!

Its all I had hoped and more - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Firemansgirl - November 7 - 10:00 amOnly have 6,700 miles on my car or so, but so far so good. I bought this after owning a Lumina Euro for 7 years. Keep up the good work Chevy! Great gas mileage and since the LS didnt look much different than the SS I get a break on insurance as well but still a fine lookin ride. WOO HOO! The only thing Id change is the color...big dummy I got yet another black car and man is it a pain to keep clean!

Perfect - 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By caitlinmay - November 4 - 4:22 amI am obsessed with my 03 Monte Carlo SS. I bought it only a few months ago with 126,000 miles on it, and its already my favorite car Ive ever owned. I bought it from a new/used Chevy dealer, so there were no problems with the car at all. The interior and exterior were both in perfect condition. No mechanical problems at all. It drives smooth and its fast!!! Its a very easy car to handle, and I love love love the style! I havent had it for long enough to say its reliable and things dont go bad on the car, but from what I see now, the car has been taken very good care off. I dont see myself having any problems with it down the road!
